Hardscape Lighting Installation is Seamless & Clean
In preparation for an important graduation party, LUX Landscape Lighting recently completed this landscape and hardscape lighting installation for a Cincinnati client. This home is beyond gorgeous and deserved the royal treatment.

Hardscape lighting fixtures were drilled into the driveway to illuminate the grand stairway pillars. The effect is stunning in the evening, but what do the fixtures look like during the day? Take a look.

The small lights are unobtrusive, although they give an outsized effect. Here’s another angle:

As the evening draws on, the pillars begin to softly glow. But during the day, when the lights are turned off, they are barely noticeable and are installed flush with the stone.
Enjoy Fall Evenings Around the Fire with Hardscape Lighting Installation
Hardscape lighting is especially nice installed in the seating area around fire pits. This soft, indirect light helps people navigate the seating area safely without distracting from the glowing fire.

Here’s another example with hardscape lighting installed into the seating wall behind a fire pit.

Imagine how much enjoyment you would get from these outdoor spaces!
Hardscape Lighting Installation Enhances Retaining Walls
Retaining walls are very practical, but hardscape lighting can turn them into a beautiful feature, as well. Here’s one hilltop Cincinnati backyard.

The landscape and seating area are gently illuminated, making it a very pleasant place to spend your evening. The lighting also ties together the retaining wall with the home’s stone half-wall.

Hardscape lighting installation on stairs improves navigation and safety, too. Now, the lighting for this property is as well-integrated as the home and landscaping architecture, as well.

Hardscape lighting often has practical applications, but usefulness isn’t everything. Let’s explore a couple purely beautiful projects.
Planters & Statuary Glow with Hardscape Lighting Installation
Adding selective hardscape lighting to your garden areas can really make planters and statuary pop. LUX installed small lights into the patio to light up this ornate planter.

Taking a step back, you see how illuminating the planters adds balance and beauty to this poolside view. Also, the effect is doubled through reflections in the water.

The entrance to this elegant formal garden is flanked by cherubic statues. Hardscape lighting invites you to take a stroll through this fairyland landscape.

Hardscape lighting often ties together the effect of landscape lighting and how you navigate the space. Now, let’s take a look at one more application.
Protect Driveways & Surroundings with Hardscape Lighting Installation
This client’s driveway is surrounded by a wall that can be difficult to see at night. Backing into this obstacle would cause significant damage, so we installed hardscape lighting. The soft lighting also prevents glare in review mirrors.

Another client needed to protect the stairway wall leading to their side door. Hardscape lighting was a sophisticated solution.
